Sakshi malik did his job brilliantly in wrestling. She defeated Ana Godinez Gonzales of Canada to win a gold medal in the 62kg freestyle. During medal distribution, Sakshi malik was happy and was holding her tears of joy, but when the national anthem of India started playing she could not hold her tears. Everyone can see the hard work in her tears. It was a very proud moment for her.
She was waiting for this day. Also, the match was impossible to win. She was four points behind the Canadian player Ana. Sakshi was going to lose but all of a sudden Sakshi shifted gears so fast that made the impossible win possible. Everyone was stunned by seeing this. Even Ana was Stunned. She made a fall by pinning her opponent's shoulder to the mat to win the match.
She won many medals for India but this medal was special for her. This was a Gold medal. Previously, she had won a silver medal in the 58 kg category in 2014 and a bronze medal in 2018 in the 62 kg category. The third medal came as gold and made Sakshi a maiden player. The maiden player is a player who has three consecutive wins in the same competition.
